About Antilophia

About Antilophia

Taking its name from the genus of a beautiful and rare South American bird, Antilophia offers a boutique luxury travel service, delivering carefully crafted luxury travel experiences within Africa & the Indian Ocean and Latin America & Antarctica.
We draw inspiration from arts and culture, gastronomy, music, landscapes, and history within each of our exciting destinations.
Whether we organise for you to sleep out in the middle of the stark white Makgadikgadi salt pans in Botswana or arrange for you to stay with an indigenous tribe in the Amazon rainforest with nights of nocturnal spearfishing, we aim to bring the very best in experiential travel through a love of exploring and genuine knowledge. We pride ourselves on our truly tailor-made ethos and only work with unique hotels and extraordinary properties that we think are distinguishably special. From charming family run lodges focusing on personalised service, to elegant hotels in colonial cities and private villas on secluded beaches - all accommodation is meticulously handpicked.

Lucy Slater

Director, Latin America & the Caribbean

Having grown up in Asia, our co-founder, Lucy Slater, inherited her passion for travel at a young age. Fluent in Spanish and a keen horseback rider Lucy spent part of her degree studying in Buenos Aires followed by a year on an Argentine estancia looking after guests and herding cattle with gauchos. She then joined a Latin American travel company in London and later a bespoke luxury travel company where she ran the Latin America team for 15 years. With over twenty years’ industry experience and an extensive black book of local contacts, Lucy is able to offer a truly personalised service through Antilophia.

Georgina Sargent

Director, Africa & the Indian Ocean

Georgina Sargent first entered the travel industry over 12 years ago when she worked for safari specialists, Robin Pope Safaris, in Zambia. Whilst creating travel experiences for discerning clientele, she soon fell in love with Africa’s ever changing landscapes and extraordinary wildlife. Since then, Georgina ran the Africa division at a UK based leading luxury tour operator where she worked for a number of years alongside Lucy Slater. From advising which camera lenses to take on safari to reserving tables at the best restaurants in Cape Town, Georgina’s extensive knowledge and dedicated service further reinforces our ability to surpass clients’ expectations.
