Lucy Slater
Having grown up in Asia, our co-founder, Lucy Slater, inherited her passion for travel at a young age. Fluent in Spanish and a keen horseback rider Lucy spent part of her degree studying in Buenos Aires followed by a year on an Argentine estancia looking after guests and herding cattle with gauchos. She then joined a Latin American travel company in London and later a bespoke luxury travel company where she ran the Latin America team for 15 years. With over twenty years’ industry experience and an extensive black book of local contacts, Lucy is able to offer a truly personalised service through Antilophia.
John Slater
Always looking for truly unique experiences around the globe, John is a keen ‘cultural foodie’ with a passion for the versatile cuisine that the Americas have to offer, not to mention the high-altitude wines from Salta, Argentina. As international destinations become ever more accessible, John believes in delivering truly tailored, luxury travel experiences, quite often to areas and locations off-the-beaten-track. John’s other passion is in building technology businesses. A serial entrepreneur and business investor, he co-founded Antilophia with Lucy in 2016.
Nick Newbury
Nick’s passion for travel was sparked by an extended period living in Latin America in the early 1990s. He then spent seven years across five continents in his career in telecom focused investment banking prior to founding Original Travel in 2002. Nick led Original Travel as its CEO for 18 years of uninterrupted growth, growing the business to a position at the very top of the high-touch travel industry in the UK before successfully leading an exit to Voyageurs du Monde, the leading bespoke travel company in the French speaking world. Nick holds multiple Non-Executive and business advisory positions, all related to the travel industry and has advised multiple growth and early stage businesses. While his experience of the travel industry is global, his passion remains firmly rooted where it all started in Latin America.
Will Boocock
Will Boocock joined Antilophia as an expert in travel across the Americas, bringing over two decades of industry leadership and deep knowledge of both North and Latin America. Raised in a travel-focused, military family, Will’s early passion for exploring new landscapes shaped a career dedicated to designing remarkable journeys. He’s ventured across the U.S. and Canada, from secluded lakeside retreats to exceptional resorts, meticulously curating connections with top hotels and exclusive local guides. Whether crafting a scenic family road trip or a Napa Valley tasting tour, Will’s thoughtful recommendations promise inspired, personalised experiences that make each journey unforgettable.
