Journey

VENTURE TO THE END OF THE EARTH

Polar exploration has come a long way since Shackleton’s first expedition on the ‘Nimrod.’ You’ll head due south on vessels adapted to navigate polar waters with state-of-the-art stabilisation for ultimate comfort. Cross the rolling waves of the Drake Passage or, if you’re short on time, you can fly over before joining a cruise. Take the express route for full-throttle adventure or choose a three-week journey to take in the Falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula.

Voyage

UNRIVALLED EXPEDITIONS

For the most authentic experiences, we work with small boats accommodating no more than 120 passengers. This means more frequent landings and intimate experiences. You could get close to humpback whales with a marine biologist or visit research centres with a polar historian. Back on board, the learning continues with scientists giving lectures on topics from Shackleton to the geology of glaciers. When you’re not out exploring, unwind on the sun deck and enjoy world-class dining. Stay in luxuriously-appointed staterooms with panoramic windows and plenty of space to pad around.

Witness

UNTAMEABLE WILDERNESS

Where human life is virtually non-existent, marine life is able to thrive. In the deep south, majestic Emperor Penguins roam swathes of ice while you can see thousand-year-old Adelie rookeries on milder islands when the snow subsides. If you’re lucky, you may spot orcas and Antarctic humpback whales breaching in the silky waters off the western Peninsula. On land, large fur seal colonies dot the rocky outcrops, its male members noisily wooing for attention.
