CULTURAL HERITAGE
A UNESCO World Heritage site that once served as Guatemala’s capital city, Antigua is a prime example of the country’s aesthetics. Spanish wealth can be seen in colonial houses, palaces and pretty parks that sit splendidly amongst narrow cobble stone streets. On market days they are full of native Mayans in traditional dress arriving from the highlands selling textiles, artisanal crafts and local cotton - a sight to behold amongst a breath-taking mountainous backdrop.

Just west of Antigua, Lake Atitlan is a source of adventure. From the shoreline, soak up dramatic views of volcanoes venting smoke rings. Here you can hike or bike around the mountains and kayak and swim in the deep blue. We can also arrange for a private boat ride to visit the tiny Indian lakeside villages where you will encounter locals in native dress, experience traditional rituals and learn about the communities’ intricate textile methods.

As well as showcasing beautiful Caribbean beaches, Belize is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world. We can organise private scuba diving sessions enabling you to explore the fascinating ecosystem including colourful coral, whale sharks, sea turtles and manta rays (season dependent). Venture out to the famous Blue Hole and investigate its underwater limestone walls, coral skeleton and ancient stalagmites at 345 feet deep. Kayaking, fishing and sailing are also available or we can arrange a private sailing boat to take you around the numerous unspoiled cayes and atolls dotted around the blissfully clear water.
